CHILD

With these artworks I wanted to explore the question what it means to be thrown into this existence. I am interested in childhood. Not in children per se, but in their rising intellectual and emotional concept of the world. Having had the most protected and positive environment a child could have myself, I still remember profound feelings of fear and uncomfortableness about my being brought into existence and being forced to function in a world that seemed frightening to me more than anything else. GIRL

Girl With Red Hair ClipThese are hand drawings / paintings, again dealing with the issue of the doom and un-understanding of the young person. We can feel, see details – but the greater picture very much escapes us. Possibly this is still so.
